• Catalonia. The Catalan prisons prepare more outings: Forcadell, Forn and Bassa ask for the same semi-freedom of the Jordis

As it happened last week with Jordi Sànchez and Jordi Cuixart, the Treatment Board of the Mas d'Enric Penitentiary Center, located in the province of Tarragona, has agreed to apply this Wednesday to the former president of the Parliament, Carme Forcadell, the article 100.2 of the penitentiary regulations to leave the prison to perform volunteer duties and take care of an elderly relative, his mother of more than 90 years, according to judicial sources. In this way Forcadell will leave the prison, where he is serving a sentence for a crime of sedition, three days during the week for nine hours a day, including travel.

Forcadell can leave prison immediately, although the application of 100.2 must endorse the prison surveillance court. The Prosecutor's Office can appeal its decision. The exit of the former president of the Parliament adds to the granting of the measure to Cuixart and Sànchez, although neither of them has made it effective yet, although everything indicates that they could leave shortly by this article of the penitentiary regulation.

The former president of the Parliament is classified in second prison degree but may have third-party options, such as these daily departures and return to sleep in jail. The decision of the Treatment Board does not go through the Department of Justice that recalls that there are 405 inmates throughout Catalonia in the same situation.
