"Every year we have people who receive from written warnings to dismissal because of the use of mobile telephony while driving," says David Erixon communications manager for bus operator Nobina, which has agreements with Hallandstrafiken, among others.

Both Hallandstrafiken and the operator Nobina believe that there is a serious problem with mobile-using bus drivers. They argue that it is important to report and carefully document events that are questionable.

"Must be the observer who makes the police report"

But the police report must be for the individual himself.

- It must be the observer who makes the police report, we get a task and then the driver must be given the opportunity to talk about why he did so, says Yasmine Möllerström Henstam, Head of Communications at Hallandstrafiken.

The reports show how bus drivers should have missed stopping at stops when talking on the phone.

“Our daughter plings 6-7 times. Nothing happens, then he also drives past the next stop. Maybe not so strange, as he sits talking on a mobile phone .... ” writes a reviewer.
