On Tuesday, a decision was made to close down Malgovik's school and Nästansjö school. Furthermore, the six from autumn 2021 will be moved to Hembergsskolan, which is Vilhelminas high school.
- We are not yet on target, says Annika Andersson (C), who believes that it is not entirely possible to determine how big the savings will be.
When it comes to the consequences of moving 12-year-olds to an environment with older young people, she says that there are, of course, different examples of successful and less successful examples of it, but that risk and the impact assessment are made.
"What is perhaps most difficult, however, is the decision to close village schools as it goes against my own ideology," she says.

- I have my child there myself, I have a lot of sympathy with everyone who is affected by the cuts, but will shut down social media for a while and not read submissions, says the center politician.
The formal decision will be made on March 2, when the council will meet in Vilhelmina.
