“In Russia there are three large enterprises for the production of masks, they produce 900 thousand pieces per day. Taking into account smaller enterprises in Russia, 1.2 million masks are produced, ”RIA Novosti quoted Manturov as saying.
He admitted that the volume of production could be increased to 1.5 million per day, and noted the inadmissibility of increasing prices for medical masks.
Manturov also said that Russia sent 2 million medical masks to China as humanitarian aid.
Earlier, he reported that the Ministry of Industry and Trade was doing everything necessary to prevent a shortage of medical masks in Russia.
