They are a bit like the Daft Punk of politics. Except they replaced the motorcycle helmet with a horse's head. They are eight people from Le Portel, commune of Pas-de-Calais near Boulogne-sur-Mer, who had an original idea to combine the municipal campaign and the city's famous carnival. For a month and a half, the band of friends, who remains anonymous for the moment, has created a Facebook page on which they reveal their campaign promises for the "Municichval". Seriously abstain because here everything is to be taken as a minimum in the second degree.
“We throw lots of crazy ideas like creating a zip line to better move around the city. We also want to change gasoline cars to pedal cars for an ecological purpose or even install a racetrack in the middle of the city. We have lots of projects, ”smiles Gaëtan Bourrin, the head of this funny list.
A nod to the Carnival of Portel
Except that this fourth list declared for the municipal elections of Portel will not go to the end of the campaign. The schoolboy joke will end on February 23, the date of the Portel carnival. “It always takes place two days before Mardi Gras and is based on the plot. Each year, when we arrive at people's house on the feast day to make a chapel [have a drink at the locals], we are completely masked. And the host has to guess who is behind the mask. That day, we will reveal ourselves ”, assures Gaëtan Bourrin.
In the meantime, the forecasts are going well to guess who are the troublemakers of this municipal campaign. “We are all from Le Portel. There are workers, nurses, firefighters, "swings the horse's head as a clue. Supported by the horse butchers of the city, the troublemakers know a real popularity in the city.

To the point of hoping to rally to their cause certain undecided voters on election day even without filing an official list. “We will come disguised at the count, hoping for a good surprise ( laughs ).
