The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received a phone call from German Chancellor Angela Merkel, in which the two parties reviewed the most prominent issues on the regional and international arenas.
The phone call dealt with the latest developments in Libya, in light of the results of the Berlin conference, which was hosted by Germany last month.
The contact also dealt with ways of achieving Afghan reconciliation and laying the foundations for a political settlement to the conflict in Afghanistan, as the German chancellor praised the State of Qatar's efforts to mediate between the Afghan parties.
