Several thousand people demonstrated Sunday, February 9 in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, in support of Palestine. They are against US President Donald Trump's plan to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, released on January 28.

" Palestine is not for sale ", " no to support the Zionist entity " ... Many slogans were chanted by thousands of demonstrators in Rabat on Sunday, February 9. Against the American plan to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict , some protesters even burned an Israeli flag.

In the crowd, Islamist sympathizers, trade unionists and political figures gathered to call for a " boycott of the products of the United States ", deemed " enemies of peace ".

This plan, deemed too favorable to the Israelis and rejected by the Palestinians , enjoys wide popular support in Morocco. Among other things, he plans to make Jerusalem the " indivisible capital " of Israel.

As an ally of the United States, the kingdom " appreciated the constructive efforts of peace deployed by the American administration ", declared the Moroccan Minister for Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita . He nevertheless reiterated the traditional position of Rabat, which has not had diplomatic relations with Israel for twenty years, in favor of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
