The number of people infected with new coronavirus is increasing rapidly on the Diamond Princess, a cruise ship moored in quarantine off the coast of Yokohama, Japan.

Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare today said 65 of the cruise ship's passengers were positively tested on the new corona test.

Since the first 10 infections have been identified in the past five days, the number of people infected at Diamond Princess has increased to 135.

Japanese authorities say that if some 3,600 people on the cruiser complain of symptoms such as fever, they will be collecting samples and conducting a series of tests.

The nationality of the new infected is 7 countries including Japan, USA, Australia, Philippines, Canada, UK, Ukraine.

The cruise ship also carries 14 Korean nationals, including passengers and crew, but was not included in the 135 people who were diagnosed with infection until this day.

As the number of infected cruise ships increased to 135, the total number of infected in Japan was 161.

The Japanese Society for Environmental Infections says that as the number of infected people increases, a team of doctors and nurses who are well-versed in infection management will be dispatched to the cruise ship tomorrow.
