SMHI has issued a class 1 warning of storm for large parts of Götaland. In Skåne, Halland as well as Öland and Gotland, it is expected to blow so much that the warning has been increased to class 2.
Already at lunchtime, the storm pulled in farther north, along the west coast. In Skåne, Blekinge, Småland and Öland the wind is expected to increase during the afternoon.
- It seems to culminate in the evening between 18 and 22. It gets really windy, says SVT meteorologist Deana Bajic.
In the wake of the storm, in southern Sweden, thunderstorms also follow in several places.
- Then there can be heavy showers locally, so there is a risk of flooding, says Deana Bajic.
The tip is to make sure that there are no loose objects in the garden or on the balcony. If you have a cellar, it may be a good idea to protect sensitive objects.
During the night and Monday morning the wind moans slightly. But already during the day on Monday the winds seem to be increasing again.
