At present, there are more than 37,000 confirmed cases of new coronavirus infection in mainland China and 811 deaths.

More than 2,600 confirmed patients and 89 more died each day.

With more than 80 deaths per day for the second day in a row, the number of new confirmations dropped from 3,000 to 3,000 in the last three to seven days.

The number of new corona deaths in China has risen to 800, surpassing 774 worldwide deaths during the 2003 SARS outbreak.

For the first time, there were also deaths from nationals other than China.

A 60-year-old American citizen died during quarantine at Wuhan Hospital on June 6, and a Japanese man in his 60s who was suspected of having a new corona died of severe pneumonia in Wuhan.

As the spread did not subside, the World Health Organization (WHO) decided to introduce a new coronavirus investigation team in China.

WHO Secretary-General Thewards explained that he will lead the investigation team and leave for China as early as possible.

In China, authorities say the inspectorate team has arrived in Wuhan and has begun inspections as voices criticize the government for the death of the doctor, who first warned of the new corona virus.
