Toronto improves two franchise records, Milwaukee and the Lakers remain top of their conference, and Denver takes advantage of the Clippers' defeat against Minnesota, largely reworked after the trade deadline: here is the summary of Saturday's NBA night.

. Toronto outdoes itself

By winning on the wire against Brooklyn (119-118), the Raptors never stop winning, improving two current franchise records.

The reigning champions thus chain a fourteenth victory in a row and a tenth straight away victory.

Pascal Siakam (20 points) gave the victory to Toronto by registering a free throw 22 seconds before the end, when Fred VanVleet registered 29 points and Terence Davis 20 points.

. Merciless Milwaukee and Lakers

The best attack in the league (119.9 points per game) faced the best defense (104.8) and, not surprisingly, Milwaukee dominated Orlando (112-95), thanks to a Giannis Antetokounmpo who narrowly missed the triple-double (19 points, 18 rebounds and 9 assists).

Evan Fournier scored 14 points, took 3 rebounds and offered 4 assists, not preventing the fifth defeat in a row at home for the Magic, which has not won in Orlando since January 8 and sinks to the dangerous eighth place, the last qualifier for the play-offs.

In the West, the Lakers won against the Golden State Warriors 125-120, thanks to double-double LeBron James (22 points, 11 assists) and Anthony Davis (27 points, 10 rebounds). With 3 3-point baskets, LeBron becomes the 15th best scorer at this distance in NBA history, with 1,831 successful baskets.

. Nuggets capitalize

Minnesota, which reshuffled almost half of its workforce during the trade deadline (9 arrivals and 9 departures in total), surprised the Clippers (142-115), yet well helped by Kawhi Leonard and his 29 points scored.

The Timberwolves end a terrible series of 13 losses in a row, thanks to the 24 points scored by Jordan McLaughlin, his best career score.

Malik Beasley also scored 23 points for his first game with the Minnesota franchise, after being surrendered by the Nuggets who, for their part, were not asked to take advantage of this defeat of the Clippers in the race for second place of the Western conference.

Denver did well for the evening with its win over Phoenix 108-117.

. The "Frenchies"

Small evening for the French, replacements. Sekou Doumbouya scored 5 points in 13 minutes for Detroit, also taking 3 defensive rebounds in about 12 minutes on the floor.

Opposite, for the New York Knicks 95-92 victorious, Frank Ntilikina scored 2 points, took 2 rebounds and offered a assist in 14 minutes.
