His testimony before the House of Representatives broadcast live on American news channels had angered the president. " Am I supposed to be happy with him ?" "Pretends to wonder Donald Trump in front of the press this Friday morning. " Well no, I'm not happy with him ".

Shortly after this statement, the White House announced the dismissal of the embarrassing witness. Alexander Vindman is requested to leave the premises, escorted to the exit. " There is no doubt in the minds of the Americans about the reasons for his dismissal, " said his lawyer.

Lieutenant-Colonel Vindman must have left for telling the truth. His honor and his commitment scared the most powerful man in the world. An American soldier born in Ukraine, Alexander Vindman arrived in the United States at the age of three with his father who was fleeing the USSR.

This key witness in the dismissal trial was in charge of the Ukrainian file in the National Security Council of the White House. Without direct contact with Donald Trump, he nevertheless listened in July to his telephone discussion with the Ukrainian president, a discussion which led to his impeachment trial.

Deeming Donald Trump's request to Ukraine to investigate his rival Joe Biden inappropriate, he had alerted White House lawyers. His dismissal comes two days after the president's acquittal and the day after his statements and those of his entourage promising to pay those who testified against him.

For its part, the head of the Democrats says he is shocked by this dismissal. " It is shameful," said Nancy Pelosi , "that goes too far. "
