Venezuela calls US sanctions against Conviasa airline “aggression”

“This unacceptable and brutal aggression is aimed at harming the Venezuelan company, which provides services to both the Venezuelan and other peoples of the world,” the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry quoted TASS as saying.

This measure is called unilateral and extraterritorial, it is noted that it violates international law.

It is also specified that these sanctions threaten the aviation security of the whole country.

On February 7, the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions on the Venezuelan airline Conviasa and a number of its aircraft.
