The Transportation Security Administration of the Criminal Security Sector of Abu Dhabi Police implemented 1115 inspection campaigns, which resulted in the arrest of 3376 illegal transport violations for the emirate at the level of the past year 2019.

The Director of Criminal Security Sector, Brigadier Mohammed Suhail Al-Rashdi considered illegal transport of passengers in private vehicles a non-civilization phenomenon, and they have social, economic and security impacts, in addition to their lack of conformity to the security and safety standards necessary to secure passengers, and their owners do not obtain licenses to practice this profession in addition to the lack of insurance For their vehicles.

He emphasized the interest of Abu Dhabi Police in cooperation with partners to address the process of transporting passengers illegally, and to enhance security and social awareness by not using such vehicles that operate illegally, pointing to the existence of joint campaigns with the Integrated Transport Center in Abu Dhabi, as a strategic partner to control violators.

For his part, Acting Director of Transportation Security Security Lt. Col. Khaled Mohammed Al-Shehhi explained that Abu Dhabi Police intensified inspection campaigns to reduce such violations, which led to a significant decrease for the year 2019 from previous years.

He pointed out that the penalty for using a vehicle to transport passengers without a license is a fine of 3000 dirhams, withholding the vehicle for 30 days, and 24 traffic points.
