  • Jul himself posted it on his Instagram account.

Jul in the European Parliament. Or rather the sign "Jul" in the European Parliament. Hippolyte, Rayane and Souhil were invited with their ES secondary school class from Lycée Montgrand, in Marseille, on Thursday January 30 at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. They punctuated the end of their presentation speech with "And thank you the area", making the sign "Jul". The video posted on social networks already reached more than 250,000 views a week later.

“No one knew about it. We prepared the presentation speech of our city and our country an hour before speaking. I suggested to them the idea of making a "Jul" sign at the end and they said to me "OK we're following you", "says Hippolyte. And they were a hit. “The Lithuanians danced in traditional costumes, the Spaniards played the guitar. Otherwise the other presentations were fairly standard. We decided to proclaim a very fast and humorous speech, on the sun, the pretty girls, on the conviviality, the mixture of cultures, and to top it all we ended on the sign "Jul" to clearly show where we is coming, ”he laughs. The Polish high school students "liked", while the Belgians recognized the sign.

The video shared by Jul

Hippolyte then posts the video on Twitter and the page "he makes the sign", listing personalities with the sign "Jul", sharing. "This is where it got mad, the views increased more and more, I received a lot of notifications and when we saw that the video was shared by Jul, we exploded with laughter. There are people who say to us "you pierced the guys", but it was just a good delirium one does not take the melon at all ", explains the high school student.

If all this story is a nice laugh, Hippolyte, Rayane, Souhil and their class were invited to the European Parliament for a very serious day. “We won a video competition with our school, and we were invited for a day at the European Parliament in Strabourg. There were classes of high school students from each country of the European Union, it allowed to exchange a lot on our daily life and our problems. We expanded our address book and got some good tips for the holidays, ”jokes Hippolyte.

Some 900 high school students present in the European Parliament have even proposed a series of decrees which will be submitted to parliamentarians. “We worked on subjects that concern us, such as the future of Europe, drug addiction, work for young people, immigration and migration. We tried to find solutions to these divisive subjects and we made proposals for decrees. We were still in a serious setting, ”says Hippolyte. What could be better than combining business with pleasure?
