Emmanuel Grégoire, first deputy of the mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, confides in an article of M the magazine of the World published Friday to have "desire" to aspire to the Town hall after a possible second mandate of the socialist councilor.

"It is now a prospect that I do not refrain from considering," continues the campaign manager for Anne Hidalgo for her re-election, himself head of the list in the 12th arrondissement.

"It was Anne herself who invited me to think about it, we are in the transmission", he explains, while the article echoes rumors that would see him occupying the town hall at the favor of a candidacy of Mrs. Hidalgo to the Elysée Palace in 2022, or else if she abandoned her mandate after the Paris Olympics in 2024.

Emmanuel Grégoire can boast of the support of the former mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoë, who describes him in the columns of the M as "intelligent, lively, faithful, kind". Mr. Delanoë also sees in him someone "ambitious, but that is not a fault".

Emmanuel Grégoire was elected first deputy to the mayor of Paris in September 2018, after the resignation of Bruno Julliard.
