The German production figure - below expectations - freezes all: on a monthly basis in December -3.5%, on an annual basis -6.8%.

Fears are returning in Asia about the effects of the coronavirus on the world economy.
Tokyo closed slightly down to -0.19%, Hong Kong lost about half a point, while Shanghai after a negative start turned positive to + 0.33%. Toyota has announced that it will not re-open factories in China as planned at the end of the New Year holidays: the plants will be closed at least until February 16.

On Wall Street, however, the closure has been decidedly positive, ignoring the fears about the epidemic. Investors liked Beijing's decision to cut tariffs on American assets. Indices at the maximum: the Dow Jones gains 0.30% (at 29,379 points), the Nasdaq + 0.67% (at 9,572 points).
