She added that this step is within its strategic plan that aims to produce entrepreneurs who contribute to the development of the country with a knowledge economy that requires a productive student of knowledge, considering that the festival is a start, not an end, and then enables students to complete their projects through special awards that give them opportunities To receive support from these entities to better develop their projects.

Hussein Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, in a press statement on the sidelines of the National Science, Technology and Innovation Festival, which concludes its activities today in "Festival City Dubai", said that the ministry is currently working with several universities and innovation centers in the country to organize innovation and entrepreneurship camps for students participating in The festival, including "Khalifa Science and Technology" with which the Ministry has been working with for years to introduce students to several camps, including the innovation and entrepreneurship camp, with the aim of providing a system of these camps for the post-festival period.

He stressed the necessity that "the student in his project has an economic impact in the state, because the knowledge-based economy starts from such projects, and then we are keen to give such opportunities to our students to develop and complete their projects." He added: "Five thousand students participate in the festival And students, they submitted 2470 innovative projects, and we seek to double the number of students participating in the festival to reach 25 thousand students ».

In response to a question for «Emirates Today», about the incentives provided by the ministry to encourage students to participate in the festival with their projects, Al Hammadi stated that «the ministry offers several incentives, including training students since kindergarten and the first and second grades, to innovate and enhance their skills and confidence in Themselves and the ability to search and learn, then they will be motivated to participate in their innovations in specialized forums and festivals, in addition to the winning projects in the National Festival of Science, Technology and Innovation will be presented by their owners before His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Na The supreme commander of the armed forces, in addition to providing financial incentives for the winning projects.

He pointed out that the awards set by the Ministry for students participating in the festival are scholarships and practical field training, both inside and outside the country, and this enhances the participation of the authorities in supporting the educational system and sustaining the outputs.

Al-Hammadi explained that the ministry was able to change curricula and the policy of assessing and measuring students' levels, and adopted skills questions and avoided questions of conservation and indoctrination, within five years, although the development of the educational system needs sufficient time for its planned results to appear, and then what the ministry has achieved is an achievement Great, behind this achievement was the support of the leadership and the community’s desire to develop the educational system.
