Still no final outcome from the Iowa caucuses that took place on Monday, February 3. This is the first step in the Democratic primaries. Two candidates claim victory, Pete Buttigieg and Bernie Sanders. The boss of the Democratic Party is now calling for a recount of the ballots.

Exasperated by the slowness of the procedure, Tom Perez appeared three days after the poll , when 97% of the votes were counted.

A few hours earlier, Bernie Sanders had claimed victory, which Pete Buttigieg claimed after caucus evening. The senator from Vermont, who calls himself a socialist and revolutionary, estimates that he has 6,000 more votes than his centrist opponent.

But it is the number of elected delegates that counts in this indirect ballot, and Pete Buttigieg would have obtained three more than Bernie Sanders.

The Iowa vote count fiasco is attributed to an application malfunction. She was also to serve in Nevada caucuses. The western state has announced that it will find another way to count the votes.
