The general director of Youth of the Community, Pedro García Aguado, presented his resignation on Friday to the regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, as he has decided to return to his previous activity as a speaker for family conflict resolution.

In a letter to which Efe has had access, García Aguado has indicated that these months in the face of youth coordination have been "intense, fruitful and very satisfactory" but he has indicated that it will be "more useful being close to families".

"After some intense, fruitful and very satisfactory months leading the coordination of the Youth policies of the Community of Madrid, I make the decision to return to my previous activity in the face of the enormous demand for attention that, unfortunately, so many families need in this country, "he wrote.

García Aguado, who advised families with teenage children with violent, aggressive or addictive behaviors in the television program 'Big Brother', recalled in the letter that during the last decade his "vocation and profession" has been linked to the resolution of conflicts within the home environment.

"I only have words of gratitude for having allowed me to know the development of youth policies and thus collaborate in improving the quality of life of our society," said García Aguado in reference to his work in the Community.

He has also thanked the Minister of Education and Youth of the Community, Enrique Ossorio, "all the trust placed" during his time in charge of the direction of Youth, since August 2019.

Sources from the Community of Madrid have highlighted the "outstanding work" of García Aguado in the region on issues related to "the improvement of coexistence in classrooms and against bullying, as well as the fight against addictions to new technologies" .

"We wish him all the professional successes in the future and we are sure that his enormous communicative and innovative capacity and his outgoing and conciliatory character will help many social groups that demand his work," they said.
