While opponents of the pension reform demonstrate again on Thursday, the traction pole of the Unsa-RATP, the first union of the Paris transport authority, has called for February 17 to be a "black Monday in transport" of de-France Island.

The traction pole of the Unsa-RATP, the first union in the Paris transport authority, called on Thursday for a "black Monday in transport" in Île-de-France on February 17. This Monday, the pension reform project will be examined in session at the National Assembly. It was in a press release that Laurent Djebali, representing metro and RER drivers at Unsa-RATP announced it: "The Unsa-RATP calls on all metro and RER employees to mobilize very massively for a black Monday in transport ".

Ninth day of strike against pension reform

This announcement by Unsa-RATP comes as opponents of the pension reform demonstrate again Thursday to demand its withdrawal and stem the breathlessness of a historic mobilization. "In accordance with the will of the general assemblies, the Unsa-RATP traction pole, the first union to operate railways, is organizing and continuing the fight against this unfair retirement reform", said Laurent Djebali in his press release on Thursday.

On the strike side, several sectors, such as ports and waste treatment centers, have taken over from transport. Traffic was "normal" at RATP and with "little disruption" at SNCF. The drivers of the Paris metro and the RATP's RER began their strike against the pension reform on December 5. They had voted on January 17 in most of their general assemblies to suspend the strike movement in order to "regain strength" before mobilizing again on January 24, the day of the presentation of the reform project in the Council of Ministers.
