He emphasized that the published text was not “ultimate truth”.

“The Ministry of Justice is now as open as possible for all constructive proposals, and our common task is to improve this text taking into account the opinion of the society,” the TASS deputy minister quotes.

In late January, the Ministry of Justice published a draft Code of Administrative Offenses prepared by a government working group. In particular, an increase in the size of fines is envisaged, especially in articles on violations of traffic rules.

At a meeting with the Cabinet, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin called the proposed fines for motorists excessive for citizens.

According to him, it has not yet been possible to achieve such an increase in salaries, which would allow so much to increase fines.
