The Treatment Board of the Lledoners prison (Barcelona) will today approve the application of article 100.2 of the Penitentiary Regulations to Jordi Cuixart and Jordi Sànchez. Thanks to this, the two inmates, sentenced to nine years in prison for sedition due to their role in the organization and development of the illegal 1-O referendum, may leave prison from eight in the morning until eight in the afternoon and they will only be forced to spend the night in prison.

According to prison sources, Cuixart, leader of Òmnium Cultural , will be allowed to leave the prison to work, while Jordi Sanchez, former president of the Catalan National Assembly (ANC) , will carry out "volunteer" work.

The route of article 100.2 is an administrative decision (ultimately, of the Generalitat) that allows permits to be suspended even if the Prosecutor's Office appeals to them. It is the same method that the Generalitat applied with Oriol Pujol , son of former President Jordi Pujol, and in practice it means that prisoners enjoy a semi-freedom regime.

The Board of Treatment of the jail will take this decision throughout today "unanimously", according to the sources consulted, with which the departures of the Jordis could occur in principle even from tomorrow itself.
