A battle that parents know well: how to make children eat vegetables? Good for health, they are not to the tastes of the youngest who prefer pasta or rice. Laurent Mariotte, food columnist on Europe 1, shares his tips for hiding vegetables and convincing the little ones.

Carbonara vegetables

First idea: cutting, to better "hide" them. "It's celery season, children can have a hard time with their taste, their scent," says the cook. "But if you cut them finely, spaghetti style, and you decorate the celery with a carbonara sauce, like you would with pasta". The second tip is the sauce: carbonara celery will delight the youngest.

The board can be renewed endlessly. "When it's the same zucchini season: carbonara zucchini, it works!" The last secret: associate vegetables with foods loved by children such as pasta or rice. "Spinach you can mix and make like a spinach pesto, to accompany the pasta."
