The evacuation of Russians from the Chinese province of Hubei, from where the spread of the 2019-nCoV coronavirus began, was successful. According to the Russian embassy in China, first compatriots from all over the province were transported to Wuhan Airport, where on Tuesday, February 4, two planes of the Russian Aerospace Forces arrived.

The departure of the liners took place on the night of February 5, on board the evacuees were accompanied by doctors and specialists in the field of virology, who carried out continuous monitoring of the condition of the people transported.

In total, 144 people were evacuated from Hubei: 128 Russians and 16 citizens of the CIS countries who applied to the Russian Embassy with this request.

“According to Anna Popova, the head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being (Rospotrebnadzor), there are no people with signs of illness on board an airplane flying from Wuhan to Russia,” the diplomatic service’s press service noted.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova also reported that all the evacuees are healthy. However, upon arrival in Russia, they will undergo a two-week quarantine in the Tyumen region. Golikova explained that the choice of the region is due to the fact that it is the most prepared.

For these purposes, a suburban rehabilitation center and a regional infectious clinical hospital were equipped. According to Anna Popova, the possible spread of infection from the center for the evacuees is excluded: “The center is fully prepared in a short time. Every effort has been made. ”

In total, five Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft were involved in the evacuation of Russians from China. On the first of the boards that left Wuhan, there were 80 people, on the second - 64.

On the way to Tyumen, planes landed for refueling at the airport of the Eastern Military District. According to the Ministry of Defense, upon arrival at the Tyumen airport, the first aboard were not detected. It is noted that the condition of the evacuees is assessed as satisfactory.

Meanwhile, off the coast of Japan, there is a Diamond Princess cruise ship, on which 10 people were diagnosed with the 2019-nCoV coronavirus. The Russian Embassy in Tokyo reported that on board the ship are two citizens of the Russian Federation.

“According to Japanese authorities, there are two citizens of the Russian Federation aboard a cruise ship standing on a raid in Yokohama. The embassy is taking steps to clarify the situation around our citizens and is ready to provide them with all kinds of assistance, ”the embassy reports to TASS.

According to the statement of the company - the owner of the vessel, among the detected infected Russians are not. Of the 10 people, three are Japanese, three are Hong Kong residents, two Australians, one US citizen and another Filipino crew member.

Diamond Princess went on a cruise on January 20 from Yokohama. Earlier it became known that on board was an 80-year-old man infected with coronavirus, who went ashore on the 25th in Hong Kong. He was hospitalized there, he is undergoing treatment.

After the ship arrived back in Yokohama, it was forbidden to call at the port. In total, there are 3.7 thousand people on board the ship, including passengers and crew (citizens of 56 countries). According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan, 273 people contacted the infected person, so they were all examined. However, not all test results are ready yet.

All people with identified coronavirus have already been taken from the ship and hospitalized. The head of the Japanese Ministry of Health, Katsunobu Kato, said that the ship’s premises will be disinfected and quarantine will be introduced.
