The Ministry of Health and Community Protection revealed that it developed and activated an electronic predictive system for possible cases of infection with infectious disease, with the activation of the early warning feature in the electronic health file (intravenous) in all health facilities in the ministry, so that suspected cases are sorted, and infection control procedures are established upon entry The patient to the facility, by sending an electronic alert to the technical staff to activate health and preventive measures to reduce the spread of infection.

This came in the framework of its precautionary measures to prevent the new Corona virus in cooperation with the health authorities in the country, and to strengthen the disease surveillance mechanism from any health pandemic efficiently and sustainably, to enhance confidence in preventive measures.

The set of checks and treatment protocols has also been automated according to the approved scientific standards and proofs. The system contributes to providing statistics and data analysis to monitor all suspected cases, and standardizing medical practices in all health facilities.

The Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector, Awad Sagheer Al-Ketbi, pointed out that the Ministry is reviewing infection control policies and updating health guidelines through a system "vein" that links patient data in 88 health facilities, and contains an integrated database, to help patients get access to health care and comprehensive and innovative services, Through rapid response and implementation of immediate innovative solutions, which facilitates the task of medical personnel in examining, identifying, isolating and managing disease cases effectively, based on government directions to employ smart solutions in the Ministry's treatment and preventive services.

He explained that the team "and intravenous" implemented new protocols within the electronic medical record, which contributes to facilitating the identification of patients at high risk of possible injury, and the intravenous program has already managed to provide a great time for specialist doctors, and help in identifying, coordinating and managing any possible outbreaks of the disease. Once any patient is identified as being in critical condition through automated algorithms, a vein system issues consecutive orders to immediately isolate and treat the patient according to the highest practices approved by the World Health Organization.

Through the Health Information Systems team, the Ministry continues to develop and use advanced clinical algorithms, especially in managing emergency cases such as the outbreak of the new Corona virus, due to the doctors ’need for immediate support to deal with large-scale diseases. The Ministry also continues to innovate and develop solutions available in its health facilities, in accordance with the highest global health standards applied to provide the best treatment experience for patients and improve the general health of the population.

Al-Kutbi stressed the ministry’s keenness to establish a digital health system characterized by efficiency and reliability.
