Al-Hammadi said - in a press conference on the sidelines of the National Festival of Science, Technology and Innovation, which started yesterday, in "Festival City Dubai" - that "education is concerned with establishing, refining and developing basic skills for students, and the Ministry is concerned with instilling basic skills for the Emirati school student, whether They were scientific, cultural or social skills, and there are multiple researches and studies that define and evaluate these skills from time to time, and new skills such as artificial intelligence skills that enter as a qualitative shift are currently being introduced into technology, pointing out that basic skills are available in certain subjects, both in mathematics C, sciences, Arabic language, Islamic education, or social studies, which the Ministry is currently developing to cultivate, enhance and develop skills among students.

He continued: «We relied on our curricula to be alive, and then witnessing continuous development, in order to keep pace with the latest developments in universities and the labor market, as the Ministry is training its students to be qualified for the labor market, or they have their own projects, based on the knowledge economy, and our current orientation is That each student has the skills that enable him to be creative and innovative. ”

Al-Hammadi stated that the Ministry has chosen the best 100 innovative projects from the students ’projects participating in the National Festival of Science, Technology and Innovation, and these projects will be subject to evaluation, until a number of them are chosen for their owners to present to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces He pointed out that what the Emirati school student has achieved, within five years of developing the educational process in the country, is a renewed hope for our ability to achieve further development in a shorter period of time than expected.

Al-Hammadi explained that the ministry is concerned with developing and modifying the academic subjects annually, in order to keep pace with the goals of the Emirati educational system, and this is evident through the level of students who have studied these subjects, and their counterparts who have not previously studied them, especially in the knowledge depth of these subjects, and the more the number of years of student study in The Emirati school has strengthened this knowledge, in addition to that, the Ministry launched the "Elite Path" to provide an opportunity for students who have a desire to innovate and have superior scientific capabilities and capabilities, and the Ministry made it possible to affiliate this path to fifth-grade students instead of the seventh grade, It was also established previously, and the Ministry has established specialized academies for students who want to go deeper in areas such as agriculture, industry, aircraft maintenance, and others.

On the inclusion of space science in the curricula, the Minister of Education said: «The established curricula, whether in physics or engineering, provide the basics of space science, in addition to the fact that the Ministry launched, last year, an event representing a student club, and is concerned with the design of aircraft, and will be made available The opportunity for university students to participate in it. As for space science, it is available in the subject of science sufficiently, and in proportion to the age stages of students, noting that a number of student projects participating in the Science, Technology and Innovation Festival dealt with the space field.

Al Hammadi pointed out that the ministry has introduced artificial intelligence in a number of subjects, and we have a partnership with the Institute of Artificial Intelligence at Khalifa University of Science and Technology, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence, which will receive the first batch next September, and these partnerships help the ministry in continuing this the field.

He added that the ministry started, in the current academic year, the inclusion of certain skills of artificial intelligence at each stage of study, and is working to repeat these skills more deeply so that the student can them.
