Sudanese political forces, including the forces of freedom and change that led the revolution in Sudan, refused to meet with the President of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while Al-Burhan acknowledged the meeting and talked about his backgrounds.

The forces of freedom and change said in a statement that they had no knowledge of the meeting, and no one consulted with it at any time earlier, which is harmful and casts a negative shadow on the political situation in the country.

She said that the constitutional document stipulated that foreign relations are the prerogative of the executive branch, and therefore what happened constitutes a major transgression, which we firmly and clearly reject.

And she made clear that radical changes in a political issue the size of the relationship with Israel are decided by the Sudanese people through their institutions that express their will.

Freedom and Change Forces affirmed that they are with the right of the Palestinian people to return and their independent state, and stand against any derogation from their just rights.

For his part, the spokesman of the Sudanese Communist Party Fathi Fadl said that his party is calling for the removal of the military component from the authority as an extension of the former reactionary regime in Sudan, according to his description.

Fadl said that the meeting with Al-Burhan Netanyahu was not surprising except in his timing, and he was clearly condemned. Fadl denounced the civil government’s response in Sudan to the demonstration step, and said that the reaction was not commensurate with the event.

On the other hand, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said a day after his meeting with the proof that he had obtained permission to fly Israeli aircraft into Sudanese airspace.

The proof acknowledges
In the midst of the escalating debate in Sudan about this step, the head of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereign Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, confirmed on Tuesday that he met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Uganda, a day after Israel announced the meeting.

Al-Burhan said in a statement that he made this step, based on his responsibility, the importance of tireless work to maintain and maintain national security. He added that researching and developing the relationship between Sudan and Israel is the responsibility of the institutions concerned, as stipulated in the constitutional document. He pointed out that Sudan's principled stance on the Palestinian issue and the right of its people to its independent state.

The Chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereign Council held a meeting with the Governing Council, during which he briefed him on what happened in his meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister.

The Cabinet, headed by Abdullah Hamdouk, also held another meeting in the capital, Khartoum, to discuss the meeting between Burhan and Netanyahu yesterday in Uganda.

The Sudanese Cabinet prevented private local media correspondents and foreign agencies from entering its headquarters to cover the emergency meeting, according to the Anatolian correspondent, and the media coverage of the meeting was limited to television and the country's official news agency.

The French Press Agency quoted a Sudanese government source as saying that the Transitional Sovereign Council, which includes civilians and military personnel, "held a meeting to discuss the matter," and that the team, the proof, briefed the council on the progress of its meeting with Netanyahu.

For his part, Sudanese government spokesman Faisal Mohamed Saleh said in media statements that the statements after the cabinet session were postponed until a joint meeting between the cabinet and the forces of freedom and change (the ruling coalition) was held, and then the joint meeting with the Sovereign Council.

The Washington Post quoted a senior Sudanese military official as saying that the meeting of the President of the Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Uganda, was arranged for him by the Emirates, with the knowledge of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and a narrow circle of senior Sudanese officials.

Normalize relationships
On Monday, Netanyahu's office said that the latter met with the proof team in the Ugandan city of Entebbe, adding that they agreed to start cooperation to reach a full normalization of relations.

Netanyahu's office said that Sudan is moving in a "new positive direction" and that he briefed Mike Pompeo, the United States Secretary of State, on the situation, adding that "the proof is trying to help modernize his country by taking it out of its isolation and returning it to the international map."

For its part, Israeli sources said that Netanyahu asked the proof - during the two-hour meeting - to open the Sudanese airspace to Israeli flights coming from Latin America, in a way that would reduce the flights by three hours, while the Sudanese official asked him to mediate to ease the US sanctions on his country, And removing its name from the list of terrorism.

But the Sudanese Council of Ministers said in a statement on Monday evening that it was not aware of the meeting, and that it will hold an emergency meeting on Tuesday to discuss the matter, according to a government source.
