Faced with companies that require candidates from the Top 10 business schools, what to do when you do not have the "right" degree? In the second episode of "Profil de l'Emploi", the first podcast of LinkedIn France produced by Europe 1 Studio, Sandrine Chauvin gives the floor to Amel, who is looking for a job in marketing, and to Frédéric Mazzella, the creator of BlaBlaCar , who will advise her.

These are figures that, at first glance, make you dream. Six months after graduation, 90% of students who graduate from a major business or engineering school have found a job. But this statistic hides great disparities: for those who leave a lower-rated school, access to the labor market can prove to be much more complicated. This is the case of Amel, 28 years old. A graduate of EM Normandie, a management school, she struggles to find the job she dreams of in marketing. For her, what fishes on her CV in the eyes of recruiters, it is that she has not done the "good" school, she says in the second episode of the Job Profile, the first LinkedIn France podcast produced by Europe 1 Studio.

To help him overcome this obstacle and rebound, Sandrine Chauvin, editor-in-chief of LinkedIn in France, called on Frédéric Mazzella, the creator of the BlaBlaCar carpooling platform, now vice-president of France Digitale. With his optimism and his outspokenness, he gives his advice to the young woman and to all job seekers who, like her, feel that they do not have "the Job Profile" because they do not don't have the "right" degree on their resume.

Don't have the "right" diploma? Three tips for finding a job

Do not overinterpret . If an employer does not respond to you or if you are refused, there is no point in questioning yourself too quickly, for example, feeling that you will never have a chance. Try to stick to the facts!

Show your motivation. To counterbalance the fact of not having the right diploma, do not hesitate to show real motivation in your application to join a particular company. And for that, the simplest, is to do a lot of research before going to interview.

Be patient. A career is never an elevator that goes up suddenly. You have to climb the steps little by little, and you will sometimes have the impression of backing up or stagnating. It's normal. However, you have to be patient and take a step back without losing motivation.
