The test persons belonged to a second group of foreigners evacuated from Wuhan to France on a flight arrived on Sunday after a first flight on Friday. Among the 254 passengers on this second flight, 36 presented with symptoms upon arrival, according to the Ministry of Health. Sixteen of them immediately returned to their country and " twenty " French and non-European nationals remained on the tarmac to be tested.

These passengers presented symptoms which " were not directly related to the coronavirus, rather colds, etc., but they had to be checked when getting off the plane, " said Adrien Taquet.

A quarantine period is now opening for them. The families joined the center of Carry-le-Rouet where they found the returnees from the first plane. The other people are accommodated not far from there, in Aix-en-Provence, at the national higher school of the officers of firefighters, requisitioned for the occasion.

20 volunteers are present per day to distribute meals and accompany children and adults in creative activities, to pass the time, because spending 14 days in a closed place is never pleasant.

After these two flights, “ there is no Frenchman who remains on the spot who made the request for repatriation. All those who wished were repatriated, "said Sibeth Ndiaye, government spokesperson, on France 2 this Monday morning.

The new coronavirus, which has spread to more than twenty countries outside of China, has killed, according to a last count, more than 360 people in this country with a number of confirmed infections greater than 17,200.
