A mummified body was discovered Thursday in an apartment in Nîmes, in the Gard, police said 20 minutes ago. It is a bailiff, who forced the door of the accommodation, as part of a procedure for a default, which allowed the macabre discovery.
An investigation was opened, in particular to define the exact circumstances of his death. According to the first elements resulting from the investigations, in particular the date of the last opened mails and the state of the food in the refrigerator, this man could have died for at least five years. No one had noticed his disappearance.
