Sheryl Sandberg, right arm of Mark Zuckerberg and number two on Facebook, announced that she had become engaged five years after the death of her husband, Dave Goldberg.

"Bride !!! Tom Bernthal, you are everything to me. I couldn't love you more," wrote Ms. Sandberg on the world's leading social network and Instagram, captioning a black and white photo where we see her face to face with her future husband, who runs a Kelton Global consulting agency.

According to People magazine, it was the brother of the deceased husband who made the presentations between the two lovebirds.

People understands that Mr. Bernthal made his marriage proposal during a long mountain walk and picnic in New Mexico and that he slipped a ring with 5 diamonds symbolizing Ms. Sandberg's finger his three children and two of his fiancée.

After the sudden death of her husband, Mrs. Sandberg had written a book on her widowhood, "Option B: overcome adversity, regain the ability to happiness", which had quickly become a bestseller.

Invited in all American media to tell about her ordeal, Ms. Sandberg sometimes annoyed and she was criticized for putting herself forward when her fortune largely allowed her to escape the hassle of less well-off widows.

Ms. Sandberg had already made a name for herself in the world of books with "En avant toutes", a book with a very voluntary tone on the means for a woman to combine personal success and professional career. He has been criticized for ignoring the innumerable obstacles facing women.

Ms. Sandberg also found herself on the hot seat in late 2018 for her role in an internal social network survey of billionaire George Soros.

The affair had caused a stir. Facebook had used a communications agency with a sulphurous reputation to counter its critics after the case of Russian manipulations during the 2016 US presidential election.

Definers had attempted to link the attacks on the social network to George Soros, the bane of Republicans and the far right and the target of countless anti-Semitic attacks.

Sandberg denied denying her knowledge of Definers' actions before finally acknowledging - after further revelations from the New York Times - that she had asked for an investigation into the billionaire.
