Khallaf advised not to wear a medical mask (muzzle) in the streets and open spaces, noting that breathing in the open air is healthier for people than the muzzle, noting that the risk of wearing masks in the streets and open places is more than its benefits, so people are supposed to wear medical masks In places with sick or closed and crowded places where there is no good ventilation, in this case the muzzle is a barrier to the transfer of the spray resulting from breathing to and from people, stressing that wearing the medical mask (the muzzle) should be from one side only, otherwise it becomes useless.

She explained that the phenomenon of wearing the muzzle on the contrary, thinking from some that it is used on the first side for patients and the second for healthy people, is incorrect and unhealthy, and the feasibility of wearing the mask is nullified, indicating that the dark color in the muzzle is outside and the white color is from the inside, and the best way to wear it Complying with the manufacturer's instructions printed on the box, spread the muzzle well, tie the upper cords on the top of the ear and then fix the metal part on the nose to adjust the provisions, and tie the lower cords at the bottom of the head area.

Khallaf said: “In the case of wearing the muzzle on the contrary, it becomes meaningless because the protective part is placed outside, and the inner part has a material to absorb moisture, and in the event of reversal of directions it will not be beneficial, as the medical mask (the muzzle) is composed of several layers of filters To prevent the large spray from penetrating the respiratory system of its wearer, and at the same time it prevents the spray from its wearer to reach others ».

She added, "The muzzle protects the wearer from infection if it is used and worn properly, but if it is worn incorrectly or for long periods, this can cause health damages, especially if the mask is wet from the excessive mist resulting from breathing", stressing that The natural air is better to breathe than the mask outdoors.

Doctors, Bassam Samir, Muhammad Shaaban, Hala Habib, and Mustafa Farouk agreed on the need to adhere to medical guidelines when wearing masks, and not to follow the tips that are published on social media, which are often not based on scientific basis, indicating that the medical mask is used in places And specific cases, and its use permanently and at all times may be counterproductive.

False videos

Dozens of false videos spread through WhatsApp groups and social networking sites, and they contain false and unscientific information, indicating that the white side of the medical respirators is responsible for filtering or sterilizing, so if the person is infected and wants to protect those around him and prevent transmission The microbes must put the white side inward, but if the person wants to protect himself and avoid infection from infected people, or to protect himself from dust, he must put the white side outward and the blue side on the mouth.
