The Philippines announced today, Sunday, the first recorded death of China due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus, while the number of confirmed cases of the disease in China increased the origin of the virus to 14 thousand cases.

The Philippine Department of Health said that the dead man, a 44-year-old Chinese man, from Wuhan in Hubei province, the epicenter of the virus, had died after deteriorating his condition to pneumonia.

It is the first death of more than 130 cases recorded in about 24 other countries and regions outside China.

It was reported that the man was also accompanied by a 38-year-old Chinese woman from Wuhan, who had become the first and only person to be tested for HIV in the Philippines. The two arrived in the Philippines via Hong Kong on January 21.

As of Saturday, the death toll from Corona in China reached 304, according to state television, citing the country's National Health Commission.

Yesterday, all new deaths in China were in Hubei, as were most infections with flu-like symptoms.
