“Our sacred duty is to prevent the distortion of historical events,” he added.
Earlier, German Ambassador to Russia Geza Andreas von Geir laid flowers at the Eternal Flame on Mamaev Kurgan in Volgograd and paid tribute to the soldiers of the Red Army.
