Corona Virus at an accelerated pace ... 304 deaths in China, and infections exceed 14,000

The Chinese authorities announced today, Sunday, that the number of confirmed deaths in the country due to the new Corona virus has risen to 304, after this deadly virus killed 45 people in Hubei Province, the epicenter of the epidemic in the center of the country.

The new toll released by the Health Commission of Hubei Province showed that the frequency of the outbreak accelerated, recording 2590 new infections within 24 hours, bringing the total number of HIV infections nationwide to more than 14,380, according to Reuters.

Thus, "Corona" exceeded the number of SARS infections in 2003, with expectations of a high number of people infected, especially in Wuhan.

Quarantine is still in effect in Hubei, where roads have been closed and public transportation has stopped, and in other parts of the country local authorities have imposed growing restrictions on travel, movement and corporate work.

Meanwhile, countries around the world have strengthened travel restrictions on arrivals from China, after the World Health Organization declared an international "emergency" due to the virus.

The number of countries that the epidemic has reached has risen to more than 20 countries, including five cases in the UAE, which are the only Arab countries that have recorded a disease, and reports of countries such as South Korea, Vietnam, Germany and the United States have reported cases of transmission of the virus between humans.

International panic
Panic has increased from the spread of Corona around the world after the declaration of a global health emergency, and Singapore, the United States and Australia announced strict measures to prevent entry to foreigners who visited China recently.

Many countries of the world also devoted special flights to return their nationals from China, and decided to isolate them two weeks, which is the incubation period of the new Corona disease.

The Russian Interfax and Tass news agencies reported the Kremlin as saying that the Russian army would begin evacuating Russian citizens from the areas most affected by the Coruna virus on Monday and Tuesday.

In Germany, a plane at Frankfurt airport landed with German citizens and foreigners after their evacuation from the central city of Wuhan, the epidemic of the virus, and the British government said in a statement today that it decided to withdraw some of its employees from its embassy and consulates in China.

And at dawn on Saturday, a plane belonging to the Jordanian "Royal" Airlines arrived at Queen Alia Airport, with 71 Arab students - 54 Jordanians, 7 Palestinians, and the rest from Tunisia, Oman, Syria and Bahrain - from Wuhan after the spread of the Corona virus.

In Lebanon, the Ministry of Works and Transport announced today the prevention of receiving a Chinese ship arriving in Lebanon pending confirmation of its safety to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.

It is believed that the new virus appeared for the first time in a market in Wuhan, where wild animals are sold, and spread during the Chinese New Year holiday, in which millions of Chinese travel inside and outside the country, and that China has taken strict measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
