02 February 2020It is "1917" by Sam Mendes, the winner of the Bafta, the British Academy of Cinema awards. With seven statuettes, the story set during the First World War gets a new success, after the one had in the USA at the Golden Globes. The awards are for the best film, direction, photography, set design, sound, special effects and British film.

Three awards to "Joker", Golden Lion in Venice last year: Joaquin Phoenix best leading actor, music and casting.

Two awards to the South Korean "Parasite", by Bong Joon-ho, former winner of the Palme d'Or in Cannes: best foreign film and original screenplay.

Best lead actress is Renée Zellweger for "Judy", while Laura Dern for "Story of a Wedding" and Brad Pitt for "Once Upon a Time in ... Hollywood" stand out among the non-protagonists.
