26-year-old Belgian international striker Yannick Carrasco has been loaned by his Chinese Dalian Professional club to Atlético Madrid, the Madrid club announced on Friday via press release.
Atlético Madrid "have reached an agreement with Dalian Professional FC for the loan of Yannick Carrasco until the end of the current season," the "Colchoneros" said in a statement.
"The player therefore returns to the club + rojiblanco +, where he had already played for three seasons (between July 2015 and February 2018), playing 124 matches and scoring 23 goals in total," welcomed the Madrid club, which also negotiated with Paris Saint-Germain to recruit Uruguayan center-forward Edinson Cavani during the winter transfer window, but without success.
The left wing of the Red Devils (41 caps, 6 goals) was trained in Belgium, at Genk, before launching his professional career in Monaco in 2012.
Carrasco had left Atlético at the end of February 2018 to join China, where he has been evolving ever since. In the Chinese Super League, he scored 24 goals in 52 games.
He finds a club at the edge of the abyss, 5th in Liga, which has not won since January 9, and which will face its neighbor Real at 4:00 p.m. Saturday in Santiago-Bernabeu.
