Within the emergency department of the Lunel clinic - N. Bonzom / Maxele Presse

A first step towards emerging from the crisis? Two bonuses intended for certain personnel of public hospitals of Ile-de-France and geriatric services were created by texts published this Friday in the Official Journal . These measures were among the main announcements of the "emergency plan" for the public hospital, presented two months ago by the Prime Minister, Edouard Philippe, and the Minister of Health, Agnès Buzyn.

A first decree establishes a “territorial attractiveness” bonus for nurses, nursing assistants, childcare assistants and radio handlers stationed in Paris and in the three neighboring departments (Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val -de-Marne). Those who "exercised effectively" these functions "at least three months" last year will receive it "during the first quarter".

"Old age" bonus in nursing homes

Its amount is set at € 940 gross per year for civil servants and contract workers whose remuneration is lower than the median salary in the sector (1,935 euros net in 2017, last available figure). This sum is reduced by half for those who are slightly better paid (up to around 2,500 euros net).

A second decree creates a “old age” premium for nursing assistants in accommodation establishments for dependent elderly people (nursing homes) and geriatric hospital services (medicine, follow-up care, long-term care). This gratuity of 118 euros gross per month will be paid to them "from January".
