January 31, 2020 The plane that will have to repatriate Italian citizens blocked by the coronavirus epidemic in Wuhan is expected on Sunday morning February 2. The latest draft of the plan agreed with the Chinese authorities provides that the restart will take place after two hours, according to various sources heard by the Ansa agency.

Another source, however, warned of the risks of changes to the program, "even substantial", based on experience from other countries. For example, the evacuation of British citizens would have been delayed in response to British Airways' move to stop flights to and from China. At present, the source points out, the variations could consist in the early or late arrival of a few hours. Among the requirements for the departure of compatriots is the absence of contagion. People with Chinese passports in mixed couples would be excluded, pending bans on leaving the area isolated by the Beijing authorities.
