Ivan Survillo, one of the most famous Russian young video bloggers and journalists, has begun work on an interview cycle for RT. In the first episode, he talked with the vice-rector of the Higher School of Economics Valeria Casamara, whose nomination to the Moscow City Duma last year caused criticism from a number of media and representatives of the "liberal public". Now, Casamara has come to the fore in connection with the discussion of amendments to the HSE internal regulations regarding the obligations of students and staff not to make political statements.
The 20-year-old journalist's interview for RT sparked a heated discussion on Facebook. Under a post where Survillo spoke about the release of the material, “liberal” journalists called Survillo a “traitor”, said that they would immediately “freak him” and accused him of working for a “propaganda media”.
