France's XV pillar Wilfrid Hounkpatin, injured in the ribs, was forced to give up the first match of the Six Nations Tournament against England on Sunday, the French Rugby Federation announced Thursday, a few hours before the announcement of the list of 23.

Le Castrais (28, 0 selection) is replaced in the group by La Rochelle player Uini Atonio (29, 32 selections).

Atonio, who did not participate in the World Cup in Japan, has not worn the jersey of the Blues since February 1 and a defeat against Wales (24-19) in the Six Nations Tournament.

At the beginning of the afternoon, coach Fabien Galthié must announce the list of 23 players who will face XV de la Rose, vice-world champion. Sunday at the Stade de France.
