The White House has informed former National Security Adviser John Bolton that his book in print appears to contain "a large amount of classified information" and cannot be published as it is.

Bolton's lawyer Charles Cooper's letter to the White House National Security Council stated that the draft book contained some material labeled "top secret", a measure that would be applied to all books published by former White House officials.

"According to federal law and the non-disclosure agreements your client signed as a condition for accessing confidential information, a draft (book) may not be published or disclosed by the veil without erasing this confidential information," the letter said.

Bolton's lawyer, Chuck Cooper, refuted the White House's allegations, and in his response, "We do not believe that any of this information could reasonably be considered confidential."

In his letter, Attorney Cooper asked the National Security Council to conclude his review of the book quickly, in light of the possibility that Bolton could be summoned to testify as part of the Trump trial.

Ukraine and Biden
"If (Bolton) is called in to testify, he appears certain that he will be asked questions that will address most of the information" related to the Ukraine issue, the lawyer wrote.

Bolton in his book especially reveals a conversation that could harm Trump, who is currently facing a trial for his removal in the Senate on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

According to Bolton, Trump told him in August 2019 that he did not want to release military aid to Ukraine as long as the Kiev authorities did not investigate former US Vice President Democrat Joe Biden, who was seen as the favorite to compete in the November 3, 2020 presidential election.

However, the presidency believes that Trump's decisions fall within the framework of fighting corruption in Ukraine.

Trump criticized Bolton, and considered in a tweet that his former national security adviser who dismissed him last September "was fired because if I listened to his advice, we would be fighting the Sixth World War."

"He passed away, and immediately he wrote a false and all evil book."
