This was reported in the press service of the Kiev city state administration.

“At night, the employees of the advertising department of the Kiev city state administration and the Kyivreklama utility company, accompanied by the municipal guards, removed nine illegally posted advertising stories containing pro-Russian propaganda,” a Facebook commentary says.

Attached to the post are photographs of billboards with the inscription: "Russia is our main strategic partner."

The city administration emphasized that the outdoor advertising operators did not provide consent to the placement of these billboards.

“Law enforcement agencies are already finding out who and for what purpose produced and pasted pro-Russian advertisements,” said deputy chairman of the administration Valentin Mondrievsky.

In addition, the authorities organized a check of all the streets of Kiev for the presence of “advertisements of provocative content” and urged residents to also report similar cases.

In April 2019, during the presidential campaign in Ukraine, the campaign headquarters of ex-leader of the country Petro Poroshenko placed billboards on the streets of Ukrainian cities, on which the former head of state was depicted together with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

The authors of the idea explained that the plot presented was intended to remind Ukraine of the need for a strong president "in the face of such external challenges."
