“My attempts to convince him yesterday and the day before to end the hunger strike by yesterday’s meeting in a Paris court have been nullified,” TASS quoted Timofey Musatov as saying to TASS.

He cited Vinnik's words that “lawyers will be powerless in a place where there is no law for him.”

Musatov also added that Vinnik’s condition is “terrible”.

Earlier it became known that a court in Paris left Vinnik under arrest.

Alexander Vinnik was arrested in Greece in 2017 at the request of the United States, where he is accused of creating, without a license from the American authorities, a cryptocurrency exchange through which, according to the United States, billions of dollars are laundered.
