The trade group Ambia Trading Group AB writes in a press release published on Wednesday evening that during the day an agreement was reached to take over the majority of Teknikmagasinet Sweden AB.

A press release states:
“The deal includes inventory and inventory. Also the shares in the wholly owned Norwegian subsidiary with 35 stores, and a right to negotiate continued rental conditions with about 50 stores in Sweden. ”

"We see opportunities to build an efficient organization that handles everything from staff functions to services, such as warehousing and logistics," says Marcus Andersson, CEO of Ambia Trading Group AB in the press release.

The technology magazine's CEO, Ulrika Göransson, also comments on the purchase.

- This means a fantastic new start in the work begun to adapt Teknikmagasinet to the conditions prevailing in the retail sector today. We will continue to build on our service offering and continue to develop our product offering.

Filed for bankruptcy in January

On Wednesday morning, January 15, the application for bankruptcy was filed by Teknikmagasinet Seden AB to Solna District Court.

The company had then struggled with financial difficulties for a long time and applied for reconstruction in 2017.

Submitted a bid

Two days after the bankruptcy notice, January 17, Ambia stated that it wanted to buy up the technology chain and submitted a bid.

The sum for the transaction, the purchase price, ended up at SEK 41 million and the change of ownership takes place in early February.

Founded in Småland

The company Ambia was founded in Vimmerby in Småland in 2011 by, among other things, the current CEO, Marcus Andersson.

It is listed on Spotlight and also owns Apple retailer Digital Inn as well as several other electronics and IT companies.
