One of the most popular RT videos over the past year was the footage of the arrest of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

The multimedia agency RT Ruptly is the only one in the world to capture the moment of Assange’s arrest at the Embassy of Ecuador in London. These footage was shown by major global media, including the BBC, CNN, The Telegraph and The Guardian.

Also among exclusive RT videos are live broadcasts and videos from the “yellow vests” protests in France. The demonstrators chanted: “Mercy, RT!” When they saw the cameras of the Russian television channel.

French Secretary of State for Digital Technologies Cedric O said: “Today on YouTube, the most popular channel is not BFM, not CNEWS, this is RT.”

During a fire in Notre Dame, Rutply broadcast live from the scene, and also published the first video footage of the consequences of the fire, shot from the drone.

RT was the first Russian television channel to start publishing its materials on YouTube in 2007. In 2013, RT International reached 1 billion views on YouTube.

In the fall of 2019, RT overcame the 7 billion viewer mark on YouTube, setting a record among news channels.
