The Local Police of Seville has arrested a 57-year-old man, who had served a 25-year prison sentence , for assaulting a woman he held for three hours at his home and repeatedly raped until the victim could ask for help.
As reported by the Police, about 00:45 a.m. on Wednesday, a woman alerted emergency services that she had been sexually assaulted by a man in her home in a neighborhood of Seville and said that she also had cuts in hands caused by a knife carried by the aggressor.
When the agents came to the home, the woman explained that the aggressor, of whom she gave a perfect description, had been following her down the street and when she reached the door of her home she pounced on her with a knife and forced her into his living place.
Once inside, he removed the mobile phone, closed the door inside and put the keys in his pocket, after which he sexually assaulted her for three hours.
When the woman was able to ask for help, the emergency services went to the house and transferred her to the Virgen del Rocío Hospital for examination and assistance, while the National Police took charge of the investigation.
At 3:45 a.m., a local police force identified the alleged aggressor in the street near the Plaza de Armas bus station, a 57-year-old man with a history of similar crimes and who had served a prison sentence during over 25 years.
The detainee declared that he resides in Jaén and that on Tuesday he traveled from Córdoba to Seville to choose a victim and perpetrate sexual assault. The detainee was transferred to police agencies, where the proceedings are instructed.
