Only eight months after his excellent results in the local elections, Vox is going through a serious crisis in Ceuta . Two of the six deputies in the Assembly of the autonomous city, María del Carmen Vázquez and José María Rodríguez , have left the party on Monday and will now be unaffiliated. Vox, third force in the elections of last May, is left with four seats, although it has already required the two deputies to deliver their minutes.

In statements to EL MUNDO, Vázquez and Rodríguez have explained that their departure is due to what they consider authoritarian management by the local management. In addition, they affirm that the party maintains an insulting tone against the Muslim community of the city, as evidenced by some messages from the WhatsApp groups of Vox written by the local leaders of the formation, which have been disseminated by critical supporters of the party. Finally, they claim to be suffering harassment by the Vox management, which Ceuta is headed by the president of a Manager, Juan Sergio Redondo .

His departure from Vox also occurs at a key moment in local politics, since the party has just sealed an agreement with the PP to approve the Budgets and give stability to the Government of Juan Jesús Vivas . The process that culminated with the departure of the two deputies began last November, when it emerged that a group of Ceuta militants had sent a letter to the president of the formation, Santiago Abascal, denouncing that Juan Sergio Redondo exercised an authoritarian leadership in the Party in the city.

The letter prompted the visit to Ceuta of the head of the Territorial Area of the Vicesecretariat National Organization of Vox, Ignacio Ansaldo , to try to placate the criticism and manage the departure of some members of the Manager. Now, Vox is faced with another problem in Ceuta, which can also be aggravated by the WhatsApp messages that have been disseminated.

"We have put the cross to a Moor"

For example, in one the concession was criticized, on September 20, of the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Civil Guard to the head of the Moroccan Gendarmerie, Mohammed Haramou , with these words: "Let's look at the positive side: we have put a cross to a Moor. " The text was written by Yolanda Melero , candidate for the Senate.

The president of the Manager, Juan Sergio Redondo, comments in another message his tiredness for the treatment of Muslims in Ceuta. "At the moment we will raise the battle in the electoral field," Redondo says in the message, then add: "But as things are wrong, it is not at all strange that in the end you have to fight militarily" .

The president of Vox in Ceuta reveals in his comments a deep concern about what he describes as "Palestinianization" of the autonomous city. "I assure you that these people, shortly, if we do not accept their Islamizing vision, will begin to treat us as occupants: something like the Israelis," Redondo laments.

The affirmation of the local leader of the party finds support in the deputy in the Ceutic Assembly Francis Ruiz , national police by profession, which concludes: "The Third World War will have to start someday and will be against Islam."

Muslim religious celebrations also do not escape the scrutiny of the head of Vox in the autonomous city. On the days when thousands of Ceuta celebrated the Feast of Sacrifice or Eid-Al Adha , Redondo commented on WhatsApp a photograph in which a group of children could be seen playing next to a lamb that awaits their turn to be sacrificed.

"What an endearing and educational photo ...", he wrote, "those new generations that see the most normal thing in the world let an animal agonize before tearing off its head to carbonize it; if I show this show live to the cousins' children I take my wife from the tug between disgust, terror and syncope at least three or four. "

There are also criticisms of the leader of the PP of Ceuta and president of the city since 2001, Juan Jesús Vivas, with whom they have just agreed on the Budgets. Following a publication on the official website of the city of a text from the Al-Idrisi cultural association, Redondo says in another WhatsApp message: "This is the kind of thought whose sole responsibility was Juan Vivas and his shit Ceuta of the Four Cultures This chick when she says 'in Ceuta before the Christian customs were the Muslims' is denying Ceuta's own Spanishness.
