Jerusalem will remain "Israel's undivided capital". This was stated by US President Donald Trump as he presented his Middle East peace plan, prepared with the Israeli Prime Minister.

"This map will more than double the Palestinian territory and contains a Palestinian capital in East Jerusalem where the United States will be honored to open an embassy," the president said, later calling the plan "the last chance of the Palestinians."

The Palestinians had already rejected the plan in advance, dismissing Trump's work as too Israel-friendly.
